Miss Molly

Nothing takes the taste out of peanut butter quite like unrequited love.

About Me

For me, this is always the hardest part of anything. Tell others about yourself (or as my mother, god rests her soul, used to say "Honey, you have to sell yourself!" Well, Mom, I couldn't sell lingerie to a boatload of marines just granted shore leave after a year at sea. Not that I don’t have good things to share, but most are seen when you get to know me and I believe that people should know what they are getting before they buy into it (ah, a contradiction in terms...that is so me).
First and foremost...I am human with all the emotions and feelings, good and bad that come along with being a part of the human race. I can be confident at work but insecure in play (or vise versa). I can be cocky and self-assured in certain situation but get me in one that makes me uncomfortable and I become scared and shy. I can be totally selfless but selfish at the same time. I can get bored easily with projects if they are long and drawn out but I can focus on a book so totally that I block out the rest of the world. I give great advice when asked but I can't take my own to save my hide. I am not the greatest friend when things are going along smooth (meaning I don’t always call, don’t always write and don’t always feel up to going out to just "hang".) but if there is a problem, I am a fierce protector and will go to the ends of the earth for someone I care about. I am a homebody at heart and love to curl up with a good book after work but I can be a social butterfly when it is necessary.
I am, in other words, a contradiction. But one thing I am always consistent with...I am passionate. People say that is the Scorpio in me...I just think it's who I am.
Sure, I have baggage and issues (Louis Vuitton and readers digest just love me...) but I work on them diligently and try to learn from it...
I am not perfect but I am faithful...sort of like a Saint Bernard (I have one, co-loved with my roommate and she is just a doll...spoiled rotten and a princess...and with the princess being a whopping 140LBS at a little over a year old, well, who could (or would) say no...Especially when she greets me at the door like I hung the moon and her day wasn’t complete until I came back!)
I love with my whole heart and care with more than I should. And I wear my heart on my sleeve... (especially during hallmark commercials and sappy movies like Steel Magnolias and The Stepmom.)
This is me...well, part of the good, the bad and the ugly...the rest you have to find out for yourself!

My Interests

I love to read (almost a book a day), I love to write (though I seem to need a muse to create my stories), I love to play online computer games as well as play with the XBOX 360 (the graphics are AMAZING on my roommates TV). I love computers and always want to learn more. I love my Whiskey Jane (St. Bernard, 140lbs, princess and most loving creature I know), and my Milo (the one-eyed rabbit and the best pet EVER)...I have LOTS of interests but too many to list here.

I'd like to meet:

People who accept me for me, and don't expect me to be something I am not. I am who I am...my faults and all...and possibly Alyson Hannigan (oh my goodness, I have such a crush on her and have since she was geeky Willow) and Angelina Jolie (she is hot and wild...woo hooo!)

Music:

Just about anything. I love Country music. Not fond of rap but I try to keep an open mind about some. Otherwise, I love it if it has a great tune...One of my current favorite songs is "Cell Block Tango" from the movie Chicago and "Goodbye is all we have" by Alison Krauss...I love old 80's and 90's as well as current stuff. If I can dance to it, I like it.

Movies:

Favorite "I didnt see THAT coming" movie: The Usual Suspects

Favorite tear-jerker movies: Steel Magnolias and The Stepmom

Favorite Disney movie: Cinderella and everything else

Favorite Horror Movie: Saw (Ok, it creeped me out, big time!)

I love to watch movies at home, on DVD but I am not a big movie theatre person. I do NOT want to spend a fortune to go see a movie that is interupted by someone kicking my chair, or talking, or kids screaming...wait...that is a rant for another time!

Television:

I am a reality TV junkie. Especially BRAVO. My favs are Project Runway, Workout, Blowout and Top Chef...I like Hell's Kitchen (that man has some serious anger issues but I love em!). I love the L word (who doesnt) and my secret vice is "America's Next Top Model"...I like ER, Las Vegas, Law and Order (been watching that serious since it started and I like all the spin-offs). And I TiVo all the Buffy episodes I can (Alyson Hannigan *happy sigh*). There is more but you will have to ask to find out the rest.

Books:

Now, if there was a "Book Readers Anonymous", I would not only be the founder but the chapter president! I love to read and I read pretty much anything I can get my hands on (at a book a day, I have to read everything or else I run out of material!!). From Sherilyn Kenyon to Ayn Rand to Stephen King (I have read everything he has ever written) to the Tribulation series (I am a recovering Catholic, I HAD to read it!!!)...I have read more books then I can count...at least once...probably two or three times. And not just fiction, though after work, I prefer to lose myself in worlds created that are fantasy and most have happy endings.

Heroes:

Hmm...My heroes would be My mother (god rests her soul), my roommate who is one of the smartest people I have ever met, my bestfriend SW who I want to be like when I grow up, my dog Whiskey Jane who not only can sleep through ANYTHING but loves me with such an unconditional love that it humbles me and makes me strive to love others in that way, Milo (my bunny) who after surviving a vicious mauling, not only LIVED for 48 hours in a garbage bag (previous owners, long story) after the attack but now he thrives even with one eye...
