My parents
My mother was a Polish seamstress. She grew up in a very typical Polish family, with one father, two mothers and a younger sister. Times were tough for them as my maternal grandfather, a cotton farmer, was alergic to cotton. You would think that with such an ailment that he would've chosen a different path in life, but he was hardheaded (mostly due to the metal plate he had in his head due to a cotton gin accident). He always said "cotton is the only way in life - you can't make clothing without cotton, it's guarenteed money". Once polyester made its way on the market, my grandfather become a very secluded man.
That didn't stop my mother from following her childhood dream of becoming a seamstress. In fact, she became one of the best in the county. Sparks flew, literally, on the day she met my father. She was hired by my paternal grandfather, who owned and operated a spark factory, to make new uniforms for his crew. It was there where she met the man who would soon become her husband. And after she divorced him, she married my father - whom she also met that day.
Of German heritage, my father was the son of two full-blooded Londoners who came to the states while my grandmother was pregnant with him. My father didn't work for my grandfather though, he was only there in the office, visiting my grandfather that day. My father was actually a Poptart miner until the day he retired, seven years ago. His main work was in the rich Blueberry Vein mines of eastern Pennsylvania, so if you've ever enjoyed a blueberry Poptart, know that it came from the hardwork of my father's hands and pick.
Their love ignited quickly and soon my mother was pregnant, two months later my parents were married - seven months later, I was born.
The Early Years
I was born under the zodiac sign Leo, on a Monday, August the 1st. In fact, to this day I still celebrate my birthday on that same day, however, I am no longer a Leo. When I was six I became a born again Capricorn, embracing the new lifestyle with the support of my parents. Switching my zodiac was no easy change, however. Once word got around to my classmates, at Ernest Borgnine Memorial Middle School, they teased me unmercifully for my decision. Yes, I was one of those devout Capricorns who didn't pledge allegiance to the flag every morning.
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, I loved the outdoors and wildlife. Many days after school or on the weekends you could find me outside chasing the wild cattle and jackalopes. It was this love of the outdoors and wildlife that spurred my desire to become a video game programmer. A career path I would follow diligently for the rest of my life.
