About Me
Well, I've got a great family, I love my job (most days) and I'm gearing up for the publication of Book 2 of NIGHTMARE ACADEMY this September. In the US it will be called MONSTER MADNESS and, in the UK, it will be called MONSTER REVENGE. It's a fun ride, full of monsters and craziness, so check it out!
The movie rights were bought by Universal Studios and I recently finished my drafts of the screenplay. It's going to be produced by Bob Ducsay and Steve Sommers, the guys behind THE MUMMY, THE MUMMY RETURNS and VAN HELSING. I'll keep you up to date on the latest news on that front.
Before NIGHTMARE ACADEMY, I did a bunch of TV shows. Most recently, I was a Co-Executive producer on the last season of ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT and, before that, I was an Executive Producer on MY WIFE AND KIDS for almost the whole run of the series. I also co-created a show (with Damon Wayans) called 413 HOPE STREET that was on Fox for about half a season.
Movie-wise, I wrote (or co-wrote) the scripts for MAJOR PAYNE, FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 9: JASON GOES TO HELL and MY BOYFRIEND'S BACK. I also did uncredited rewrites on a bunch of movies, among them: HAPPY GILMORE, GEORGE AND THE JUNGLE and NOTHING TO LOSE.
But right now, my focus is on writing the NIGHTMARE ACADEMY series of books (and movies). HarperCollins will be bringing out the first book in September 2007, followed by book 2 the following year and book 3 the year after that. A lot of work but very exciting!
