About Me

I'm not really a 'band', but an academic (38), teaching on alternative media, public sphere, participation and media/democracy/politics, among others, see: Media@LSE for more on this. Besides this, I have for many years been making music and continue to do so, if and when I have the time to indulge myself in sound&rhythm, which I must admit is becoming increasingly scarce, unfortunately. I have also been a member of Radio Centraal for over 18 years, making experimental soundscape radio, news shows, and live shows on location (see: Radio Centraal and the slide-video of Miss Tigra below). Antwerp (Belgium) is my home town, but I travel the world; have lived in Congo, Barcelona, Amsterdam and now London.

My nickname - Dr. Chill - was given to me by my students, and it does describe my attitude to life pretty well, although maybe not very representative of my music.
