HISTORY:
Well well, it's been almost eight months since we started to play. So, what's the story behind the band? I was not sure about playing ina band, I was planning to do a personal death metal project... the problem is that I can't sing to save my life. So I talked to Guliano, a friend of mine who did the vocals in a past project in wich I was involved too. He was interested as me in make a death metal band and we joined and gave birth to Infected. Then a guy told us that there was another band called Infected, actually dismembered. Damn it, I got to change the name to Infection I even did the logo for Infected! But now I think the name is more "interesting", even the logotype looks even better.
The next step was looking for a proper drummer. You know, death metal is not very popular in Lima, and it's pretty hard to find a decent drummer to play with. I posted some messages in a local metal board but it was useless. Time passed and the band was only Guliano and me. Where the hell was our drummer? The answer came from a friend who manges his own jamming studio. He told us about Yesid; he thought he was able to take charge of the drum section. I called him and the very next week we were playing together, practicing what will become the first Infection songs: "Malignant tumor" and "Autopsy room". These songs reflected two main influences for me: Napalm death (master Jesse, RIP) and Death (master Chuck, RIP).
Er... something else? We're about to release our first EP entitled "Nothing but scum" So, it's a short story, and I don't wanna make you sleep. Enjoy the music and post comments if you like. Headbangers of the world, the Infection has come.... and will cause death.
