With a jazz drummer for a Father, a drummer for a brother, and an Aunt and Uncle who graced the West End stages for three decades in such productions as 'Annie Get Your Gun' and 'Guys and Dolls', it is fair to say that this talented young singer/songwriter was surrounded by music growing up. As a toddler it was Elvis Presley's 'Way Down' that she couldn't sit still to and to this day she loves to always have music around her.....................................After recording her first demo at 19 years of age she continued on to write and record with such producers as Full Crew, DJ Dodge and Steve Jervier with girl group J.E.M. The group were signed to Jive Records but were sadly, never meant to be..........................................................
..........................She continued on to record with long time friend and writing partner, Mari. Under new management, 'Set It Off', who were the driving force behind the group Damage, they had total creative freedom. The girls went on to write and record with the likes of Mushtaq (Damage, Mis-teeq) and K-Gee (All Saints, Damage). Unfortunately, due to the management company going out of business, the project was never completed...............................................At this time, Jae was offered a new opportunity to utilise her knowledge and passion for music and landed a spot as a TV presenter. She was co-host on the MTV Base hip hop and rap music show, 'The Drop'. She worked at MTV for 9 months and interviewed such artists as Eve, India Irie, K-ci and JoJo, Dilated Peoples, Bubba Sparxxx and many more. Unfortunately, the show was not granted a second series......................................................
...........So now Jae keeps herself busy doing sessions with the likes of Ms Dynamite, Lemar, Jamelia, The Lighthouse Family and Julio Iglesias to name just a few.........................................................
................................................As for her own material, it's HOUSE MUSIC for this lady as she, "loves to get people dancing!". With recent performances at London hot spots such as Heaven, Fabric and Bar 54 at New Year her hunger to wow the crowd has been well satified but is hungry for more!.......................................................
