Pastor Moreland is the Senior Pastor of Deliverance Temple Ministries Church of God in Christ. Married to Dr. Charisse Moreland for 25 years. From this marriage the Lord has blessed with six children. Pastor Moreland accepted Christ as his personal savior February of 1981 during a Holy Ghost Revival at Deliverance Temple C.O.G.I.C. Pastor Moreland later accepted the sovereign call of God to the ministry on November 27, 1983. During the Holy Convocation !of 1985 Pastor Moreland was ordained by the late Bishop Gordon E. Vaughn. The Pastoral fell upon Elder Moreland after the demise of the former pastor Dr. James A. Watkins, he was selected visionary, and pastor of Deliverance Temple Ministries C.O.G.I.C. Pastor Moreland has genuinely sacrificially fed, guided, and nurtured the people of God for nine years. Pastor Moreland’s ministry extends beyond the local church, having an outreach ministry that is second to none. Under his leadership the ministry is in it’s 5th year of Deliverance Temple Ministries /R.O.O.T.S. Inc. Alternative Education.
Pastor Moreland’s education includes the Aliquippa School District, Community College Of Beaver County, California University of Pennsylvania, Airco Technical Institute of Pittsburgh, Harty Bible School, Moody Bible Institute, and Liberty University of Lynchburg, VA.
Pastor Marvin Moreland faithfully serves the Beaver Valley District as Assistant District Superintendent. In 2003, Dr. Moreland was appointed Chairman of AIM Committee (Auxiliaries In Ministry) of Western PA., First Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop James M. Foster. Dr. Moreland is also a member of GAMA (Greater Aliquippa Ministerial Association).
