Eric and I packed up and moved to a small Caribbean island called Nevis so he can attend medical school. It is a British island and we drive on the left side of the road. It is around 10K population. Very different from home!!!
Eric really enjoys medical school. He studies and studies and then studies some more. His studying has paid off becuase he is now 2nd in his class of 74 students. As for me I found a job at a local Private school teaching Kindergarten. WOW!!! It is one of the hardest jobs I have ever had...Completely different going from a Marketing Manager at RadioShack Corp. to teaching Kindergarten, but very fulfilling!
The Caribbean has been an interesting adventure so far. Our wonderful little beach cottage that we originally had ended up being a bug infested open screened in porch and the only thing separating us from the big ocean was a swamp. It was horrible. For the next few days we looked for another place to stay. Fortunately we found the "Mount Nevis Hotel and Beach resort" so now we are staying in a luxury hotel room w/ a partial kitchen. The place is awesome!!! It has a wonderful view of St Kitts.
We also had a fun time buying a car. Most of the cars over here are a piece of junk, so to fit in we bought a 1990 Mazda 323 (at least I think it's a 90)...wow what a car!!! It shakes when you drive it, No AC or radio and it takes team work to open the trunk. It will be a long road ahead of us, but an exciting one!Give us a call 817-350-4518
