About Me

Coming August 26, 2006 from singer-songwriter Karen Fisher, The New Has Come. The CD marks the second full-length release for the talented Texan, and it finds her songwriting evocative and uplifting, her sound mature and honest, and her vocals as amazing as ever. The album consists of 13 originals including the praiseful title track “The New Has Come”, with its bluesy guitar, keyboard sounds, and gospel-tinged vocal breakdowns. “Gravity,” an irresistibly catchy sing-along anthem declares that "Your love is like Gravity/ it keeps pulling me closer and closer to you." Fisher has already earned comparisons to Contemporary Christian heavyhitter Nichole Nordeman, and with this slick and soulful release she proves she has the talent to become just as big a name. The New Has Come was recorded and mixed by Kevin Peters at Glass Jar Studios in Abilene, Texas, and will be available August 26, 2006, through www.karenfishermusic.com and at live performances. The New Has Come is the second release from Georgia native Karen Fisher. Her first CD, “Just Like Me”, was recorded in Nashville in 2003. The impressive debut helped Karen land slots opening for such well-known artists as Lincoln Brewster and Avalon. She performed at Rock the Desert 2004, sharing the stage with Building 429 and Casting Crowns, and has spent the last three years doing concerts and women's events around Texas. Karen recently returned from the 32nd Annual GMA “Music in the Rockies” placing third in both the vocal performance and songwriting competitions.Karen also keeps busy as a wife and mother of three young children, all of whom are an endless source of musical and spiritual inspiration.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~Click here for further information and song samples visit Karen orclick here to find out more about having Karen sing for your group or event This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? using original artwork by Marah Johnson.
