NATIVE IMPORT IS A SAVAGE ANIMAL

About Me

Native Import is a hard working and hard-hitting four-piece rock ‘n roll band based in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The band members each come from different walks of life as well as different parts of the world. This mixture of culture and ideas is what creates their unique and amazing sound – a sound that is very hard to categorize, but even harder to ignore. Their influences include classic bands such as Black Sabbath, Cream, and Rush, as well as newer bands such as Primus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Modest Mouse. No matter how you describe their sound, Native Import is a sonic assault that leaves a resonation within the listener.
Bass player English Dan, born and raised in Braintree England, is the band’s primary songwriter. His completely unique style and set of influences provide a strong foundation for the other band members to build upon. Lead guitarist and vocalist Jeff Sleigher contributes his considerable and well-honed guitar skills as well as his distinctive and soulful vocals. Rhythm guitarist Jeremy Weiland adds his own set of past musical experiences and influences to the mix, and drummer Brandon Dawson keeps it all together with his flamboyant and funky beats. The end result is a fluid groove of pure emotion.
Since forming in 2003, the band has gained tremendous experience together as a group, which allows them to bring an energetic show that always ends with a very pleased crowd. With their hard work, insatiable drive and creative showmanship, Native Import has become a local favorite with many loyal fans.

Some of our favorites are Rush, Primus, Les Claypool, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Grateful Dead, Audioslave and the Chili Peppers, although that is just scratching the surface.

To be honest, we are influenced by everything we hear.
Sounds Like: We don't think we sound like any other band. You might be able to pick out some of our influences, but we are, unmistakably and unabashedly, just Native Import. Take a listen...and see what you think!
