About Me

Music was always playing in my house when I was growing up in Erie Pennsylvania. My Mom would be jammin some motown and my Dad was rockin Heart and ELO. I wanted to play the drums like my Dad but he wasn't havin the noise, I dont blame him. In 1986 my uncle let me borrow a copy of a fender jaguar and an old fender vibro champ amplifier. My good friend Rick Polaski gave me guitar lessons every sunday for the next few years for $3 a week. I also studied with classical guitarist Marty O'Connor and Boyd Baker from the 80's metal band Dirty Looks. After a stint in the marine corps I moved to las vegas in 1993 to pursue music with my jar head buddy Mike Decay and we formed Ghost By Night, which was on and off from 1994 to 1997. Mike Decay, Ara Ajizian, and Larry Kelly are a few of my best friends to this day and GBN was a huge learning experience. After Ara moved to Oregon, I met Mike Wolf and kicked around with Anger Sexx for the next few years. I recorded my first CD with them and attended the south by southwest conference in Austin Texas. Anger Sexx crumbled shortly after that in the spring of 1999. Mike Wolf and I formed American Filth later that year and recruited Larry Kelly on the drums and Ben Fama jr. on vocals. We recorded a CD, played a few really kewl shows and crumbled as well by the spring of 2001. I put the guitar down after that for the next few years, grew up(sort of), and got married. In 2005 I bought some home recording gear and got the itch to play live again. I met a talented singer named Stephen Wesley in January 2007 and signed on to play rhythm guitars for him. We played the Whiskey a Go-Go in L.A .for our first show, what a killer experience that was! Stephen Wesley & the Remedy changed line ups and did a battle of the bands thing before a lull in progress forced me to move on. Stephen is a major talent and remains a great friend. He is making huge strides with his debut cd which is undeniably radio ready and primed for mainstream pop success. I joined Drive Machine in january of 2008 to get out and play some shows, and after 5 months of playing with those dudes I quickly realized they would be better off without me. may 31st 2008 I bowed out of drive machine. Jesus or a Gun would be my next stop as I signed on with them june 1st 2008. I had such a great summer in 2008 due to all the cool shows i got to play with JOAG(house of blues, mcfaddens in the rio, RoK in the NYNY, the bunkhouse, the beauty bar, Bonnie Springs, pahrump, cheyenne saloon and PUFF ultralounge to name just a few). Things got sticky when Tone, the founder of the band had to move to Texas to take on a new job to support his family. We did three killer shows when he left and got praise from every audience saying that we sounded better than ever with one guitarist. Artistic control and a scuffle over the bands future priorities caused a break-up on December 2nd, 2008. This opened the door for my new project FOR THE FIGHT! with Larry Kelly on drums, ETCH on vocals and Nate on bass. we're enjoying the writing process and are currently booking shows for late summer.
