This site is dedicated the memory of Sam Romero. His passion for punk rock was undeniable. He influenced me and many other people that I gew up with about the true hardcore punk scene. It changed alot of peoples view on what punk rock really was at that time. We started P.I.L. in the summer of 1996 Sam had got busted with some bud, I got busted with DUI and resisting arrest and the world just felt like revolution was in the air, with things like chaos days happening across the world it made us fight for our own causes here in the states. I remember sitting with Sam in Turtles room burning a gator and listening to a 7in and Turtle telling us about a guy that passed by him while he had his 1ft liberty spiked hawk up and told him 3 words "Pinches Indios Locos" when Sam and I heard that story we knew thats what we were. We asked a neighbor hood friend Mario T. to play drums and it was on. We started the band and sadly ended a couple months later due to ereconcilable differences. We always hoped to get back together and finish where we left off. We got to write 6 songs together but only recorded 4 live. Sam ended up getting diagnosed with cancer a few years after the band split up. It went into remission and then came back. You will always be in our thoughts Sam. This site is dedicated to never forgeting Sams contribution to the scene and to our lives. Hasta el final compadre. SALU
