A lot of music influenced me and I could give 8 main influences:
In no particular order:
Electro:
I'm a big big French electro-tech lover. David Carretta, Vitalic, Terence Fixmer and The Hacker are my favorite. I own all Vitalic releases and remixes from the first Dima the last Vitalic release. There are no record in these I don't like !!!
It's almost the same thing for the Carretta releases.. But there are also many other French producers I really like: Jonathan Cast, Millimetric, Kiko, Human Body, Al Ferox etc..
On the other side I'm a big Dopplereffekt (and all the other projects), Adult and Perspects fan and I'm also really into the whole netherlandisch electro scene with the likes of I-F, Alden Tyrell, Mr Pauly, Legowelt, Orgue Electronique, Freak Electrique etc..
Minimal:
I always liked the minimalistic sound and I discovered it with the awesome studio 1 series, Kompakt and Profan releases, and also the Basic Channel and M series. I'm also a big fan of DBX and the m_nus label since the early days. Pockerflat and Playhouse where also my favorite and today the are so many great labels that I couldn't make a list without forgetting the half !! But here are some I really love: Richie Hawtin, Marc Houle (my ultimate hero), Barem (wow!!), Audio Werner, Hearttrhob, Robag Wruhme and the WB, Guido Schneider, Sweet & Candy, Sleeparchive, Matt John, Magda, Luciano, etc, etc, etc...
There is also an other category of producers witch are in my opignon apart: The sound of Hamburg and especially the Dial Records Crew. Their music is so emotional, so beauty full.. I'm really a big big fan of Lawrence/Sten, Carsten Jost, Efdemin, Pantha Du Prince, Alexander Polzin, Turner/Pawel, Nike Bordom and the others. Just incredibly beauty full music !!!
Old school Techno, Acid House and Rave:
Everyday I try to explore how the beginning of techno sounded because I was too young at this time... There are so many incredible things who were produced between the late 80ies and beginning of the 90ies. I'm a big fan of Acid House with people like Armando, DJ Pierre and Phuture, Adonis, Bam Bam, Ecstasy Club, Ralfie Rosario, Steve Poindexter etc and also some new true acid producers like A Jackin Phreak. I also like Chicago House with some groudbreaking releases from labels like Dance Mania, Trax or Relief.The early Plus 8, Probe and Definitive releases with Tracks from aka Richie Hawtin, F.U.S.E., Circuit Breaker, Robotman or in group with Joey Beltram as Final Exposure or with Daniel Bell as Cybersonik are some of my alltime favourites.. I' also a big old school Rave lover and the ones I like the most are all KLF and many of the R&S releases, ESP Netherlands etc and also all the Prodigy records from the first to the last...
Not to forget the early Warp realeses with LFO, Sweet Exorcist, AFX and all the others...
Italo Disco:
Italo Disco is also one of my main influences. It's not a surprise regarding the fact that Italo is one of the ancestor of the modern electro sound... There were a lot of extremely good releases during the few years of Italo's history but also a lot of cheap productions.
If I must choose only one record, maybe I would choose B.W.H. with Stop.. What an awesome track !!! My other favourite Italo records are from the super duo Rago-Farina with Dacadance - "On And On" on Proto Records, the two Lectric Workers releses and as The Expansives with the beautifull "Life With You". The others are many of the great Superradio Records releses including the maginifient "Catch" from Sun La Shan, Mr. Flagio, Sissy, Mr. Master, Casco, Cellophane, Brand Image, Amin Peck, Bagarre, Nemesy, Steel Mind, Goblin, The Creatures, Hypnosis and many other awesome things.
Not to forget the one and only master: Mr Giorio Moroder !!!
