FULL BIO:
The band begins playing together in 2001 in Ostrow Wlkp. (Poland) as a five-member band and since then experiments with modern rock-metal music styles. The fourth C.A.L.M.'s ever live appearance wins a Grand Prix Award on XVI Annual Bands' Contest in Ostrów Wlkp. (POLAND) with tons of on-stage energy and a brand new approach to rock-metal music. As a result of this success C.A.L.M. records their first demo album entitled Pessimist.

For the next few years the band gains experience by playing many shows in Poland and searches for it's own sound. In Spring 2007 C.A.L.M. tries to accumulate it's energy on the record entitled Optimist. As a result of studio sessions the band reacts exactly the opposite to what was expected. The new sound becomes more furious and raw than one recorded in studio and band decides to continue playing without a bass guitar! From temporary experiment this idea becomes a grown-up decision and the most controversial thing about C.A.L.M.'s music.

C.A.L.M.'s music (just like the name of the band) is based on contrasts. Differences between heavy guitar riffs, aggressive rap and chaotic rhythms on one hand and the melody, soft vocals and melancholy on the other creates original mixture of music and energy. The music presented live is very spontaneous (like for example syllabic vocal improvisations) and the songs actually changes from show to show.

C.A.L.M. has always put more pressure on live shows than recordings and until this day they have written over 30 songs. In 2008 band wins Slot Art Festival and releases some of their live recordings on CD entitled "It's a Living" because the real and non-compromising C.A.L.M. you can only hear live!music download on calmband.com
