Herb-T. pres **** EASTERN ELECTRONICS ****music is the food of life...HERB-T a.k.a. KonstanTINOs PAVLIS born at 30th of July in 1967, in Frankfurt/M, Germany, as a son of Greek immigrants. Germany was musicalwise dominated by Great Britain and US American music.
By the age of nine, Herb-T mixed his first mix-tapes by recording songs from the radio on a mono-tape-recorder, when he reached the age of 15 he start spinning records at birthdaypartys, 19 years old, he had his first resident Dj-job at Wartburg/Wiesbaden/Germany.
from than, Herb-T was experienced in Dj-ing everywhere around until now.
Musically , in his childhood he was inspired by older familymembers who listen to Bands just like, Rolling Stones, Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, etc.
Later on he realized that a lot of influences coming from Black Music , and he discovered this genre and felt in love with Soul-Funk-R&B-Jazz and Reggae.Already in the middle of the 90..s he developed a preference for Arabian and Indian sounds and mixed those with most diverse styles of the Western hemisphere.In the year 2001, he founded the Group COSMIC ORIENT.They released their first Compilation "eastern electronics" at UCMG in 2002 and their debut-album "Cosmic Orient" at BlueFlameRec. in 2006.Herb-T has performances in various clubs and festivals, such as Unity / Frankfurt , Funkadelic / Frankfurt, Sinneswandel / Bern/CH, Expo Café /Hanover, Casa de Cultura / Barcelona, Museumsuferfest / Frankfurt, Sound Of Frankfurt, Musicfair Frankfurt, Namaste/Ibiza, Karneval d. Kulturen/Berlin, a.o.Herb_T. received his musical training in singing - rhythm - performance, at Scream Factory /Frankfurt, by Amy Leverenz and Brigitte Leistikow, as well at the Frankfurt Culture Workshop with Peter Koch (Supermax) and Ibrahim Diop. Guitar-lessons by Joe Berger(BeamAudio/N.Y.C.) and Barry Finnerty (Crusaders,Miles Davis,Brecker Bros.,etc.)
