RUFAS

RUFAS (aka M.ORGAN) is a los angeles-based producer, dj, programmer and engineer working out of his own recording studio. As of April 2008, Rufas has also taken on mastering minimal tech with the new QUENUM release on THEMA records which is due out in the summer of 2008.BIG BULLY AND RUFAS have most recently worked out a deal with PATRICK BATEMAN of TIC TAC TOE RECORDS for two of their tracks "Comin to Ya" and "Night Flight." Remixes and mastering are underway... His productions include a wide variety of electroacoustic elements he has gathered while remaining a student of the craft and studio professional. He likes the live element of electronic music and insists on playing all of his cuts by hand and selective takes. On the engineering side, he uses ProTools Mix Plus with mic pres that include Neve, RCA and Allen and Heath to capture live and vinyl sets while putting a different twist on the concept of tracking electronic music. Mastering takes place in Studio B with a pair of B&W speakers, Accuphase Amp, Manley Massive Passive EQ and a Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor. With the addition of a Neuman Lathe later this year, Rufas will be a one-stop shop for local and international producers and labels.
