About Me

Hi. My name is Bálint and I live in Hungary. I'm really proud of my little country that I call my home. I love it from the bottom of my heart. I'm a quite shy person but that doesn't mean that I'm asocial. Actually, as I want to be a psychologist, I very much like the company of different people and I consider myself very tolerant and calm. You bet! haha, a psychologist has to be tolerant and relaxing. And being relaxing presupposes being relaxed. I think the key to my mystery (lol) is that I prefer deep relationships, not shallow half-friendships.What are my interests (besides music for instance, or photography)? Ever since my elementary school years, I've liked writing shorter or longer stories and I'm just writing a story I'm very excited about...And you know I'm married to philosophy... my interests actually are especially postmodern philosophies and psychoanalysis. I'm also writing an essay in philosophy that I'm very very very excited about and hope to get it together soon...!!! ... And then there's art. My favourite style is art nouveau (or secession)and I'm also fond of Byzantine and medieval art! A lifetime interest is the history of the great Byzantine Empire that existed for 1000 years in today'S Greece and Turkey. Wish I could ever travel to Istanbul, that would be a dream come true...:)---Wow. So much about myself. You know... I've just kinda expressed myself right here and that's it about me. I much more like other people speak... speak about themselves, and I'm ready to help as far as I'm capable.

Michael

My god, this silence. I wish somebody, just anybody, would break this silence we're sinking deeper and deeper into. It was like when a star collapses and transforms into a black hole. Nothing remains ...

Jazz and existence

Two of the most influential trends in the culture of the 20th century, jazz and the philosophy of being have always danced around the same fire of freedom, plurality, emotion and intensity. Both...

Ballada

Úgy járnám én is, amit ember nem járhat, ahogy az idQ gyúrja, amit összehajtogat. Mint féreg a mogyoróba, mint béka a levél alatt: kelnék szívedbe, kelnék nehéz illatba, bQröm tapad. Úgy mérném én is, ...

Mixture, transition, mist

In contemporary thinking, there is a trend of being again and again fascinated by the force of such heretical and unusual states like the mixture, the transition or the mist. And yes, we've had to wai...

The decline of the senses

We live in a skeleton-world. The senses seem to be forgotten, banished, exiled, exorcized. What do we do? "Think". "Produce" or "have" "clear thoughts". How are we? We "exist" or "are alive". What do ...

Europeana

Books which are really good have the effect not so much that you simply cannot put them down but that they force you from time to time to put them down, stop reading and think. And their effect is so ...

The misery of the philosophy of mind

One says that the task of the philosophy of mind is to elaborate, to express the conceptual system of "common sense". My simple question is: what is common sense, for MJ's sake? This is indeed a provo...

Note about the [unconscious]

There should be a shift in the way we think about the unconscious, as proposed by Freud. For the unconscious is not some half existant - half non existant thingy but an organism that is continuously c...
