Hi... Welcome to my page and thanks for dropping by. My name is Lynnette. I am 26 years old and was born in the eastern mountains in PA; the Poconos to be exact. It's such a beauitiful place and so carefree.
When I was 6, my mom left and I was raised by my dad. Everything was fine until I reached the age of 14. That's when things got ugly with my dad and I knew it was time for me to leave. It's hard being 14 and knowing you must leave a situation that you know is just wrong but have no family or friends to turn too. I was lucky. I turned to my cousin Jasmine. She was older then me and had a place of her own at the time. She took me in and everything was fine until she had to move to Pittsburgh PA. I knew it was me going back home with my dad again, but it was only for a short time.
My cousin called me after she got settled in. Knowing my situation, she suggested I come stay with her in Pittsburgh. I was never so happy to get that phone call. I packed the few things I had and was on my way.
Pittsburgh is nice, but I was used to the freedom of the country. I had to adjust with the lifestyle of city living. But with moving to Pittsburgh I got to meet three people I truly love and always will. I lived with Jasmine a short time but her situation and how she lived life with men was not my style. I was safe, but I felt uncomfortable with the things she would bring on with men. I told her my feelings and she introduced me to someone who said I would be safe with and feel comfortable with and never have to worry about anything. I did just that.
I moved in with a man that was older than me. He took me in and he was and still is like a father to me. I wanted something more with this person but was told from him it's not possible; that I am just too young and we are two different people. I accepted that and was happy with what he offered me and having someone that treated me like his daughter meant more. I guess age does mean something lol. At the same time I met my best friend Katie.
She is the person I look up to and the person that keeps me grounded. She made this page for me and I think it's so pretty. Thanks Katie:). I can't do stuff like Katie can. Katie is so good with anything she does and so smart. Maybe coming from a wealthy home has something to do with her smarts who knows, lol. Maybe it's just all the reading she does but I learn so much from her and love her to death. She knows about so many things. Her parents are nice too. They always treat me so nice. Only thing is I just feel uncomfortable in their home alot of times. But I think it's more me than it is her parents.
The third person is the person I stay with now. Her name is Shelly and she has taken me in. Shelly has been kinda my mother figure. She let's me stay here because I do things to help out around the house. Shelly works so many long hours. She's a pill pusher. I know what you're thinking... lol, but not that kind of pill pusher. She is a Pharmacist and works a lot of hours, so she really is not home much. It get's lonely at times but her dog is really cool and I stay busy with the house keeping for her. If I want my escape I just go traveling with my cousin to get away. She is always going all over the country on fun trips. It's my get away when I need it. Sometimes we go for months an don't come back. It's an exciting thing to not know where you are going to end up or who you will meet along the way.
This past year we went to all the Steeler playoff games; then ended up in Detroit for the Super Bowl I think we did the groupie thing but it was a blast. During that time we met up with some people who was from CA and ended up going to CA for a month. I have never been there and always wanted to see Sunset Strip. We got to see the Jay Leno show twice; it was really cool. I've learned so much being away meeting new people and seeing new places. As for my work. I found a nice job that I am able to do from home. It's great because with the click of the mouse; I can work my own hours and make as much or little money as I like. I also enjoy it because I have no physical contact with anyone and the money is really good for only working minutes at a time. But that's about it when it comes to me.
I like to have fun and live. I know I take a lot of risks, but I look at it as... I would rather live a life that I have fun with and is exciting and live a shorter time; than a life that was boring but lived to be 70. I won't make 70; I won't even make 40; I know it and I am fine with it. Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you enjoy anything my page has to offer:).

My Interests

I like to travel.
I really like sports. We go to all the Steeler home games. We also go to a lot of Pirate games; even though they are not winning; it's still a fun time.
My cousin and I are always going camping. It isn't quite like going camping with Katie. We use a real tent...lol.

I like to do paint-by-numbers. I'm just starting to learn how to sew. I learned how to do needpointing. It's still basic, but it looks so cool when it's done. My next challenge is going to be quilting through computer drawings using a computerized sewing machine.
