Chris Bieniek - ( pronounced bee-yen-yek) I was born in 1980 and grew up in Melbourne then started playing guitar at the age of 14 after being inspired by Jimi Hendrix. At 16 I received a scholarship to the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School where I completed year 11 and 12. I then went on to complete a 3 year music degree at the Victorian College of The Arts University. I have played with well known artists and acts including, James Morrison (the trumpeter not the vocalist), The Australian Pops Orchestra, Italian crooner Patrizzio Buane,The Tim Watson band (ex Taxi-ride) Dale Ryder (Boom Crash opera) Adam Thompson ( ex Chocolate Starfish) and an extensive number of cover and corporate bands over the last few years. At present I am currently playing with Louie and The party Boyz cover band and original material with Jazz/Rock trio EQ who have a debut album "EQ" (you can buy the ablum/tracks on Itunes or order it directley off the vorticity website at . www.vorticitymusic.com . Im also having a great time writting and playing music for my dance/groove band SpaceCraft ( check it out on my friends page)."George Evans Demo" a solo I recorded in early 2008 (with really basic recording gear, sm57, cubase and a $200 maudio delta sound card) for George Evans Amplifiers with 4 sections that high light the tonal flexibilty. Section one - medium gain, section 2 - high gain, section three - clean and section four clean with gain pushed for a broken sound. This model of amp has undergone a series of modifications over the last 2 years and now sounds amazing. The amp now has more bottom end and even more clarity on the the clean settingings. This clip tone wise does not really do the amp justice but even back then it still sounded pretty good. In the next couple of weeks I will put up a new clip for anyone interested. "Natural High" is an excerpt form a live recording @ Bennetts Lane, September 2008 (played through a George Evans Amp) with EQ featuring Danniel Gassin keys. "Chubb" (recorded with a tele through a George Evans amp with the clean channel pushed to a mild break ) - an all out loose as a goose funk tune written for the purpose of an intense jam session. (Its an unfinished yet to be mixed and mastered demo for "Space Craft" with Kit riley on bass and Chris Broomhead on Drums and Nat Bartsch - Keys "Poleo" an excerpt from the EQ ablum "EQ""Thomas's Tank Engine" - This is an excerpt of a live recording at the Paris Cat which is on Jeremy Diffey's album "groovin Live" which is on the Vorticity Label "Ubergroove"."Draculas Waltz" (from the EQ album) was inspired by eastern European music and some French guitar pieces I studied for a brief period. If you like the music here you can listen to more via the EQ and SpaceCraft icons on my friends page. Thanks for taking the time to drop by.
