John studied the Associate Diploma in Music (Adelaide Uni), been playing the guitar for 19 years, performed with Rough Image for 8 years. Performance history highlights with Rough Image include Adelaide Fringe Festival, Rock Against Racism, WOMADELAIDE '95, Adelaide Grand Prix, Ngarrindjeri Ngoppin Tour to NT Australia, Indigenous Arts Festival @ Adelaide Entertainment Centre '93, Hollywood Moguls Club, California, Indigenous Arts Festival Pala Native American Reservation, California USA '93 Indigenous Arts Festival 1994.Andrew (A.J.) DAVIS - Ngarindjerri/Barngarla rhythm guitarist & backing vocals. AJ studied the Associate Diploma in Music (Adelaide Uni) and the Aboriginal Community Management (TAFE) Certificate. Been playing the guitar for 27 years! Also performed with Rough Image for 5 years and Kougar for 3 years. Works full time for the Commonwealth Government - Indigenous student program service delivery. Represented Indigenous employees at the International Public Sector conference in Helsinki (1994). Performance highlight was playing with Rough Image to a crowd of 8,000 at a Fringe event in 1998.Grayson ROTUMAH - Bundjalong - Bass. Growing up inspired musically by Dire Straits and his dad Grayson is the first graduate from CASM to complete the B. Arts in Contemporary Music at Lismore, hes returned to teach at CASM and perform in many bands touring or based in Adelaide including Trochus, Sonny Keeler Band, Yowarliny, Festish & the CASM Blues band. Sounds Like: KINEMAN KARMA Ngarrindjeri Style ReggaeJohn (Ringo) RIGNEY formed KINEMAN KARMA in early 2002 writing songs to document traditional and contemporary Ngarrindjeri culture and political issues.His musical vision: to form a world class reggae band as a platform to deliver the strong messages and showcase the talents of some of South Australias leading Indigenous musicians. The songwriting, arrangements and line-up has evolved into a powerful cultural and artistic mix.
