Sonic started at a young age at a tourist skating rink in South beach, Florida as the weekend DJ. He started with top 40 at the age of 16. At the age of 18 he went to his first club and was introduced to a whole new world of music, trance and techno. He fell in love for the sounds that streamed threw his ears, and became obsessed with the sound he went home and started working on track after track. Not knowing his parents neighbor was the owner of a pronoun night club in Miami Beach, Spin Nightclub, who was hearing the sounds that were coming from Sonics room.The owner was so moved by the music Sonic was producing and came over and asked Sonic to perform at his club. Sonic, unsure about what he really sounded like declined the club owners offer. Friends would tell Sonic, to go for it over and over again from hearing the tapes from Sonics car and began to ask for copies. Sonic, then was asked to spin at his best friends party, he decided to give it a shot. The crowd loved Sonics performance and word got around and eventually, sonic was asked to spin at a club again in Miami Beach called Lost Weekends. That is where sonic began his career as a DJ.At the age of 19, sonic finished school and went to Orlando for college, and continued dj-ing at Firestone in downtown Orlando. As a well known Dj across the state sonic produced many music tracks but never made any demos until the fall of 2003. You can order the demo online or any local music store in Rochester NY.When he finished college at the age of 23, he moved to NYC to go to NYU to become a radio DJ. Unfortunately, Sonic did not like what he was learning about being a radio Dj, and dropped out of the program and entered a summer program for young Dj’s that can learn the different techniques of becoming a mix master. He performed as fill-ins at many of the well known clubs in New York City, such as Twilo, limelight, tonic, The Village Underground, Club Bogarts, Club Avalon, and Flow. Progressed in trance, techno, and progressive house. After completing the program he was asked to become the resident Dj for a club in New Haven, Ct. called Gotham City.Sonic, became board with the same small town people and moved back to New York but moved upstate close to the border of Canada, where his plans were to get into a club in Toronto Canada. His plans were halted for a new love in his life who will remain nameless... he stopped in Rochester, NY and performed at after hours parties, and fill in at a couple of clubs such as, Twilo, and Tara Lounge, Tiki Bobs and Club Keys in Rochester to Trexxs and Charades in Syracuse. After his breakup with his X, he got back into the music and started making demos again.Being heard from some scouts from Government in Toronto on a night in Buffalo, he was asked to DJ at Government, thus he began his career again as "DJ Sonic." Government closed over the summer of 2004 and now sonic has become a freelance DJ and is now living in Rochester, NY and performs in Toronto, CA, Buffalo, NY, and in Rochester NY.
