About Me

I've always loved music and not being very musically talented myself, I was fortunate to "fall" in to a radio show at WUSB (The voice of SUNY Stonybrook) where I have discovered I can have a great time putting together music shows based on common themes. I can be heard hosting "The Long Island Sound" alternating Thursday from 7-8pm. "The Long Island Sound" is a local music show that spotlights Long Island bands and musicians who play original music. All genres are represented. If you're interested in being a guest why not shoot me a message?Check us out at WUSB. We're licensed by the State University of NY at Stony Brook. We're community and student run and we have it all. Captivating talk, indie, country, folk, jazz, reggae, metal, hip-hop and even polka! We are one of the last "free form" stations anywhere. You can find us at 90.1 FM in the Stony Brook NY listening area or www.wusb.fm anywhere on the planet! If you like classic rock or American Idol, then WUSB is not the station for you. Try turning your radio dial to the left. There are some great NON COMMERCIAL radio stations that will open your ears as well as your MIND.Send us your demos! Any genre is okay. WUSB plays it all!Music Director WUSB 90.1 FM Student Union Bldg - Rm 266 Stony Brook University Stony Brook, NY 11790 U.S.A.I also handle WUSB's "Concert Billboard" along with the lovely, talented and capable DJ Habanero. If you're a local Long Island band playing the Island or NYC, or if you're a band appearing on Long Island or in NYC, email your gig info to us at scene@wusb one week in advance and your appearance will be announced on WUSB 4x a day. The cost? It's absolutely FREE!"The White Room" show is on hiatus for the Winter."Shades of Blue" is also in limbo. "Mrs. Chester's Coffee house" can now be heard in it's time slot alternate Sunday mornings from 7-9 am EST.
