I'd like to meet:
Martin Scorcese, Bob Dylan, MMW, all the Presidents of the USA (long, big winded conversation for sure!), the first of my descendents to come to the US (Asher-1617ish), Edmund Hilary, I know that I am leaving out many, MANY people out of my list, but with these people aside I have already met a slew of musicians, poets, politicians, the evil, the good, and the crazy!
Music:
Soulive, WSP, Phish, GD, SCI, Stanton Moore, Galactic, Split Lip Rayfield, Flip off Pirates, Coltane, Davis, Jimmy Smith, Coleman, anything but new "pop" country, easy listening, mainstream crap "pop", or anything that doesn't have soul! This list could go on and on and on and on and on! I work at a music store for pete's sake!!!!
Movies:
I watch everything, but I love comedies and well-done historical non-fiction! Shoddy mise-en-scene will always kill a movie!
Television:
Just get the antennae, so Lost(as of 10-4-06 start of 3-4 season?), Grey's Anatomy, The Nine, Weeds(dvd), Band of Brothers (dvd), Sesame Street(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10....11,12!), Conan O'Brian(Fellow Irishman!)
Books:
Can I even cover all the books that I read in the next 2 years????? Jack Kerouac- Dharma Bums, Serious as Your Life, Robert Heinlein, Tom Robbins(another roadside attraction!!!!!), I can't even remember all the books I have absorbed in this life!
Heroes:
My mom and dad: for supporting me and allowing me to make (and try to rectify) the mistakes I have made and for all the GREAT experiences for which they have allocated their hard earned funds! They are two of the greatest and most complicated (Dad), people I will ever encounter. I can't shout enough praises for these people. I hope to be able to show them my gratitude someday!
