Born in Rahway, NJ and raised in Carteret, NJ for 11 years and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for 7, Justin Oxley was the first born child of an once aspiring poet Lori LacaGina. As a young child it was apparent that OXLEY was very interested in music, memorizing radio favorites and performing at the age of six in bars where his mother bartended, singing songs from Guns and Roses. Lori as a teen and throughout her adult years, used poetry to express her feelings, then reading to her son not knowing that her poetry would influence him to begin practicing the same methods of writing.
At the age of 11, Justin moved from his Grandmothers house located in Carteret, NJ to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his mother, where his musical aspirations only grew throughout Middleschool and Highschool, writing songs and poetry. Once shy of his talent and the stereotype of a white lyricist, Justin kept his lyrics to himself and close friends, until relocating back to Carteret, NJ from Pittsburgh,PA to pursue a boxing and musical career in 2004. OXLEY'S constant traveling from Pittsburgh, Carteret, New Brunswick , and Brooklyn gives him the edge he will need to show that, no matter where you are real music is real music.For more information you can email him at [email protected].
