An intellectual Rock and Roll composer and instrumentalist who plays the contra bass guitar (a 6 stringed bass tuned down to sub contra B / the second lowest key on the piano). A successful single father and entrepreneur who has also instructed many well-known performers both privately and institutionally (L.I.U., 1979- 1988 and the New School, 1985-1992) in jazz improvisation (melodic construction), harmony and bass guitar.
