In the mornings before school the ritual would be strictly radio and cereal. My mum would constantly be singing and buying CDs and from time to time be asked to sing at church, friends and family events which she was and still is extremely good at she even appeared on stars in their eyes as desree. Although at this time she didn’t really know I would get into music she always said that she loves her job as a teacher but would have loved to explore her talent for music further, this was a big encouragement for me. It was the influence of two main places which got me on music; one was St. Gabriel’s church which showed me worship music wasn’t all about organs and old people. They gave me my first opportunity to rap during services and youth events. Then at the age of 13 everyone began forming circles at break-times and sharing raps, in ‘the ends’ this is know as a cipher. I remember hearing a lot of sikk emcees and some not so good and I told myself I could do that too, so I got involved. Around the same time my brerin brought me through to studio to jump on a track. Once I got familiar with ‘the booth’ I fell in love with it immediately and over time started addressing the ups and downs of what surrounds an awkward age.
