Vera Cruz is one of the most promising talents in Berlin's burgeoning queer techno electro scene. With her trademark black glasses and seductive smile, she spins a broad and eclectic mix of electronic fusion music from techno to minimal, from disco wave to electro-house, and from clash to Nu-Rave. She infuses each genre with an electronic tempo that permeates the air and encourages sporadic and uncontrollable movement of the feet. Whether the dance floor is filled with all beautiful girls, all beautiful guys, or both, Vera Cruz knows how to work the crowd and feed off the energy in the room.Her electronic influences can be traced back to musty underground student parties at Mannheim University, where she dished out beats at all night off-campus events. After moving to Berlin in 2004, Vera organized HEYDAY where she was both a resident DJ and host to some of Berlin's most exciting transfusion DJ and live acts. The first of its kind, HEYDAY began at Eingang 28 and had a polysexual theme that encouraged guests of all genders to leave both expectations and inhibitions at the door. Diva queen Gina Tonic ensured that no two parties were the same. HEYDAY outgrew its original venue, and in 2006 moved to the infamous Kinzo Club in the heart of old East Berlin. Vera has been the guest DJ at several of Berlin's hottest all-girl and queer parties, including:
