About Me


Svaj is many things but formost it's electronic music. Since 2002 Svaj have existed as an electronic music café, an electronic music bar and as an electronic music club. Since Svaj was introduced to Stockholm different events and parties also have been organized in the name of Svaj (Svaj 2-year party, dj-battles, Vajb etc.) Svaj have also visited different events and festivals for a Svaj showcase wich includes djs, singers, art and live-sets.
Svaj music café (2002-2005): Svaj music café was the meeting point for the club scene in Stockholm. The café hosted about 75 djs and live artists every mounths. There was also a vinyl records shop and art exhibitions in the venue.
SvajBAR (2004-2005): Svaj bar was located in a small basement of a restaurang and was opened every friday and saturday. The bar was a success but we had to close it down after only half a year since the base was too loud for the neighbours...
Svaj club (2006-2007): The club hosted some of the very best djs and live artists in the electronic music scene of Stockholm. A couple of times every season djs and live artists from other parts of Sweden or from abroad visited the club. Electronic music was the theme for Svaj club and mostly it was techno in different forms. There was one bar and one stage in the venue and on the stage there was always live visuals by the resident Joel Dittrich (a k a Jungle). During 2006 Svaj club was nominated by one of the biggest newspaper in Sweden as one of the best clubs in Stockholm. During 2007 Svaj club was also nominated by Scandinavian Music Convent as one of the best clubs in Sweden.
