Ern Mill began working in the music ministry at an early age in Philadelphia, PA, where he was born and raised. At age nine, he joined the Philadelphia Youth Mass Choir, founded by the late Edwin Newberry. Learning from the many guest directors and writers that were invited to teach the choir, by age 15 he began directing. In 1985, he directed the Philadelphia Youth Mass Choir at Madison Squire Garden in New York City as part of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, founded by the late Rev. James Cleveland. This was his first time directing! In that same year, Ern began to write and arrange gospel music. His first arrangement of Andre Crouchs I Dont Know Why Jesus Loves Me was taught to the Philadelphia Youth Mass Choir and later recorded by the Camden Inspirational Mass Choir. Ern has directed and composed music for many churches, community choirs, conferences and workshops. He directed the Gospel Music Workshop Youth Mass Choirs recording of Garland Miche Wallers Fix It Lord on the Psalms 27 project. He directed and composed songs for the Philadelphia Youth Mass Choir, Edwin & Walter Hawkins Music & Arts Love Fellowship Conference (Loved By Thee), the Philadelphia chapter of Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar Mass Choir, Edwin Hawkins Tri-State Mass Choir (Cant Nobody), Gospel Music Workshop of America Youth Mass Choir, and Steve Middleton and Unity in Praise (Hush). In collaboration with Tramaine "MaineLine Productions" Dunlap and Keith Pelzer , Ern has written a number of jingles for Gospel Highway 11, Philadelphias first all Gospel music station. Ern Mill also created and composed the Theme music for Ed Long's morning show on Praise 103.9 FM in Philadelphia, PA. In 1993, Ernest formed his own group, the Praise & Worship Chorale which has toured throughout the country. Ernest also has worked with and/or opened for various ministers in the field of music, including Rev. Daryle Coley, Min. Kirk Franklin, and Rev. John P. Kee. A popular workshop leader, Ernest has served frequently as a guest facilitator for church revivals and workshops and has assisted numerous congregations in creating and strengthening their praise and worship teams and choirs. He has served as guest songwriter and director for the Praise Power Celebration Conference from 1996 2000, which was founded by Apostle Thomas Wesley Weeks, Sr. In Sept. 2007, ErnMill had the honor to Produce Amy Dean's First CD Release Titled "TRUST YOU" along with Tramaine Dunlap. Ernest is happily married to the beautiful Sherri Robinson-Miller, owner and CEO of Visions In Beauty, a professional make-up consulting firm. Both of them have devoted their lives to inspiring and encouraging others. They are blessed to have a healthy blessed baby boy!! ELIJAH DANIEL!!! (although he's a baby, His musical ear is tuned already!!!) Ernest always says, You should always use the platform that God has given you to encourage, uplift, and inspire and to cause growth, not just to a city, but to an entire nation.
