Singer, songwriter and
producer Dru (Andrew Grange) released his debut solo album “The One†on Tuesday
September 30th, 2008, through major music retailers. On the day of release the album was rated 3.5 out of 4 stars by the critically acclaimed publication, Toronto Star.
Growing up in Toronto and passionately pursuing his music career since 1993, the
Juno and MMVA award winner’s major influences include Marvin Gaye, Donnie
Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, D’Angelo and Jay-Z.
In 2008, Dru's presence was felt on Canada’s CHR/Top 40 and Hot AC stations. In April 2008 this presence was solidified with Dru being named CHUM's Emerging Artist of the Month.Dru's first three singles ‘The One’, ‘Stay with Me (Always)’ and ‘Seasons’ share strong rotation across the country, with videos for all three songs appearing on all major media outlets.With the release of his new single "Never Too Late" Dru continues to prove that he is settling into his own on the Canadian music charts.

Emerging Canadian Artists, and his debut solo release reinforces that he is “The
Prince of the Northâ€. Dru’s new album “The One†is released by Effortless
Entertainment and Morojele Music Group and distributed in Canada by Fontana
North and Universal.
Before becoming a solo artist, Dru was the front man for R&B group In
Essence. The group went on to release the award winning album "The Master Plan" with hit songs such as "You'll Never Find" which was featured on Funk Master Flex's gold selling "60 Minutes of Funk Vol. 4".
