About Me
"Of all writings I love only that which is written with blood. Write with blood: and you will discover that blood is spirit."
- Born in Tucson, Arizona in the year 1970. As a youngster I moved between there and Cicero, Illinois till I was three and stayed in Cicero for a few years. In the summer of 1978 we moved out here to Phoenix, Arizona. Living in south Phoenix (19th Ave. and Broadway) I was the outcast. In the world of Hip Hop, Rap and gang such as Crips, Bloods and Hayden Park I was stuck in the middle with a love for Punk and Metal. Enjoying the complex guitar works of Metallica, Slayer and local bands Soothsayer and Flotsam & Jetsam, but loving the raw sounds of Misfits, Ramones, Dead Kennedy's and local band JFA. I started going to South Mountain High School and in my Freshman year I met Jack and Mike. We somewhat formed a band, I don't even remember if we had a name. And it ended as quick as it started. Jack and I went on to form a band with his cousin Jason (also former Guitarist for Dead Letters) and a Drummer I knew from Jorgenson Elementary School, Raymond. I started as the Singer/Rythum Guitarist. We played a show at South with me singing. We did a metal version of "Help" by the Beetles and "Rock and Roll all nite" By Kiss. Soon after, we got some crazy dude sing for us. I think his name was Joe. I stuck to Rythum Guitar. We played a talent show at Phoenix College, we sucked. And jumping forward...Me, Jason and Jack stayed together and soon met a Drummer from Winslow, Eric and a Singer we knew from South, Frank.... And Wicked Fester was born... after some name changes of course. We played together between the years 88-92. roughly. We recored one Demo, "Something Wicked This Way Comes..." Jack and I left the band under conflict. The rest went on under the name "Freak Show" with a new Guitarist and Bassist. I played with several different bands after but never found my place. In and out of music for the past 14 years I decided start up another band. Getting some friends and a former band member together... Me, Jason (from Wicked Fester), Mark, Carlos and Alan formed Dead Letters. Now after some ups and downs and a change in the line up, this is where I'm at... And it feels good!!!
- Well lets see.... I started playing back in my junior year in high school (02'). I got my first drum set from a punk rocker when he got his new set. I started in my first band with a high school buddy Matt (see profile below). We started out as a small rock band in my apartment called Solider. As time progressed we became Violent Fetish, to Sanctioned. Time elapsed here is about 2 years at this point. In Sanctioned, we became a 6 member band and eventually became a 3 member by the end in 05'. I moved to Arizona in August of 05' and joined up with Aaron Moya and 30 Fathom Grave. I convinced Matt to move down shortly there after. With 30 Fathom we played one show and that was about the end of it. Matt returned back to Michigan and I stayed here and joined up with Dead Letters as a free lance drummer. I have been with Dead Letters for about 4 months now and love it. Its heavy metal at its core with a touch of hair metal. My influences are many ranging from Lamb of God to In Flames, to Tool, to Nonpoint.
- Okay... So i started my whole band experience in high school playing drums... but that wasn't very much fun. So I took up bass. That was fun for about a minute. I realized that the thing that was gonna bring out my inner demons was the guitar. Or as I like to call it... the guit-fiddle. I've been in so many bands over the years... there's probably at least 3 that I can't even remember the name of. So that's kinda my playing history... Brandon pretty much covered everything I've done over the past couple years. With one exception... my project from 2006... Passenger 13. I've mixed thrash with nu-metal, pop with math-metal... the list goes on... but I've finally realized that I just plain love to thrash! Some of my favorite bands as well as the most influential to me are: Lamb of God, Meshuggah, Metallica, and Mushroomhead.

DOB: 02/09/80 Influences: Bella Rael, Stick Figurez, Stress-Faced, Pixies, Black Sabbath, Sloppy Seconds, Thelonious Monk, Fantomas, Sepultura, Ramones, The Locust, Misfits, Frank Zappa, Megadeth, NoFx, Who, Thin Lizzy, Slayer, All/Descendents, Toydolls.
Well...I guess it all really started in the early 90's when i heard Redd Kross for the first time and wanted to play the guitar instantly. Shortly thereafter...the Drumz came into the mix followed by the Bass. Which has become the instrument of destruction. I played Bass with the band Bootsinox (which later became Stick Figures somehow) for several years. That band incorporated Funk, Jazz, Metal, Punk, Reggae, Blues, R -N- B and so much more into the music. which expanded my abilities (as well as my song writing style) to the fullest. Now with the baddest mother fucking band around Dead Letters im kinda curious to see where this takes me. Who knowz? ...Maybe Daryl has the all answerz. Hmmm...i wonder. oh well.
