About Me

Welcome! This is my Guillain Barre / CIDP Myspace! You may be new to GBS and wondering what's going on with your body, how long this will last, Will you survive it... Or you may be someone who has 30+ years experience in dealing with this form of neuropathy. Or some other form of neuropathy. I hope to have some answers for you. I don't have all of the answers but maybe I have one or two. One thing I know I have, and that is: I have different answers than you will get from the Neurologist or from the discussion forums sponsored by God knows who.Read the blogs that I have posted, and ask me anything? If I don't know, I'll say "I don't know!"```I went between three doctors and a chiropractor trying to figure out what was wrong with me. So many tests and so much waiting! It took months, and when I was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome, the neurologist wanted to give me IVIG infusions. But first we had to find out if the insurance company would pay for this.I was put on the back burner by my insurance company and my neurologist, and so I turned to alternative medicine, in the forms of Homeopathy and Yoga. My recovery is now nearly complete and I want to spread the word. The GBS forums are run by pharmaceutical companies and they don't like what I have to say. I'm banned for life from there. So I'm setting up shop here. It's a travesty that people like me who are suffering from this disease are misled by the lies and manipulation of information by drug companies who just want to keep them sick. How effective was this treatment? Symptoms began in January '06. I was diagnosed in April '06. It is September '06 now and I am back on my bike and running again.Oh, about me. I'm a runner, a cyclist, a poet, and (professionally) a graphic artist.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Others who are interested in learning about how the body heals itself. Old friends. New friends. You!

Energy in the body, how it is the harness.

The Neurologist wanted to test the conductivity of my muscles. I can't explain an EMG test, how it works, the complexity of how the results are interpreted, from any point of view other than that of t...
