THE SIGNIFICANCE OF AN EXISTENCE Ten days ago, Roger Munson ended his life. He didn't know how many people his very life had touched, nor did he know how many people loved him. Did the existence of this one person, without fame or fortune make that significant of an impact? The world didn't stop for everyone, but it did for a small group of people to who Rogers life had made an impact. Saturday, February 10th, someone for whom existence became painful and unbearable, removed themselves from our world leaving a great hole in many lives. He took a piece of every person with him whether he meant to or not. I would have to say, yes, his existence made a substantial impact on many a life. He will be greatly missed. Even though his act may seem selfish, anger and pain are the cruelest of guards in the prison of despair, he just escaped with a different key.

MEA IN HER OWN WORDS:
Yeah so I'm a tall white freak! I'm a west coaster! I like alot of different things. OPINIONS? They are like assholes, everyones got one! I have opinions about things that you may or may not like. NOT MY PROBLEM. No offense, none taken. I love music and talented artists. I actually give a shit about that fact that there are people suffering in this world and try to do my part to do something about it! It's not all about me! I've recently been trying to develop a deep sense of awareness...
I'm not all about music or ranting or whatever. Sometimes I'm pretty deep. Some more recent interests of mine have been turning towards travel. I have always had a love of travel ever since I was a little kid. My grandmother expanded on this by taking me on road trips almost every weekend I spent with her. One of my more recent interests in Study and Travel has been Chernobyl, Ukraine. They apparently now do day trips into the “Dead Zone†a 30km area around the reactor and it’s neighboring towns that are mostly uninhabited due to the radiation. Apparently take a day trip into the zone is perfectly safe and you receive about the same amount of radiation you would from an X-Ray. I’ve been reading a lot about Chernobyl lately and there is a lot of conflicting information out there about it due to the Soviet Union trying to cover up the truth of what really happened. I was 13 when this happened and I remember it was all over the news and the it got swept under the rug like many tragedies and disasters in this world... except for those who still have to live with it. When the U.S.S.R. broke apart and the smaller countries like Ukraine and Belarus became their own countries they where left with the burden of this horrible mess. There are still people (mainly children) that are suffering from the effects of the Chernobyl Disaster. All over the Ukraine, Western Russia, and especially Belarus, instances of Thyroid Cancer have skyrocketed. But we here nothing about this in the states. Yes I know there are people suffering all over the world from various causes. But this is one the world should pay close attention to. This is just a drop in the bucket when it comes to problems and possible accidents that can be cause by nuclear power or weapons. I want more people to think about these issues and that why I’m making it present on my page. There is a lot of information out there that you can find through google or other sources about this any other disasters and accidents. Don’t let these people be forgotten.I’ve decided that I would like to take a trip over there and see this area of the world. A place without people. Pripyat, the city that was built for the Power Plant works is ghost town. But amazingly enough, animals now live there and the plants are growing like crazy. No they are mutated, there are no two head deer running around. But they are radioactive. I find it amazing that 22 years after the worst nuclear accident in the history of man that plants and wildlife have returned and thrive, yet the area is still too contaminated for humans to live there and will be for quite some time. It really gives you a true idea of how significant a human being is in the grand scheme of the world. If we all disappeared tomorrow life would go on with out us. Just as it always has. We are just a drop in the bucket as far as our importance is to this world. But we can still make a difference. Sometimes a bad one. So... there's a brain load for you to think about. If we want human to survive on this planet, we better start thinking about making some serious changes. Because the Earth may not need us... but we sure as hell need it!
Just remember... radiation doesn't cause birth defects... tell that to the children in Belarus!
Tell that to the children of Chernobyl!

After all, tomorrow is another Mea!
