From banging paint cans to mimicry on her father's kit, Sarah grew up in a household saturated with music. Her father, the biggest influence on her musical soul, was a well known musician in NYC in his heyday, making her move to the drum throne all too natural.The timeline begins with recording sessions at the age of 11 to actual "study" in high school, where she was the house kit player in the wind ensemble, jazz program and house band, while also being heavy into instruction. It was at this point in high school that Sarah was pushed into an audition with David Letterman's Paul Shaffer for a Nickelodeon House band where she came in second, only to the young phenomenon, Tony Royston Jr.Following high school, Sarah attended a summer program for Latin studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Playing along side the likes of El Negro, (Horacio Hernandez) and Jaco Pastoriuss drummer, Kenwood Dennard, she received a certificate of completion at the end of the program.This three time winning Best Drummer Award of NJ's Asbury Park Music Awards, Sarah has been chipping away at her local music scene since she was 14 years of age.In 2005, her name featured in Modern Drummer Magazine as she accepted an full endorsement from an independent drum company, BIB Drums.In 2006, Elle Girl Magazine approached Sarah to do a story on this up and coming female musician in her 6 member, male dominated rock n' roll band, Days Awake.2006 to the present has gaving Sarah amazing opportunities, gigging frequently with several bands in the NJ/NY scene: including Rick Barry, Days Awake, Paperback Radio, Jerzy Jung, Divine Sign, Holtz, Dave Pittenger, Cazio, Bator Kalo, Joe Harvard Band, Norwegian Would, Brian Saint and the Sinners, Green Tag Sale, The New Age Blues Experience, and Pale Nimbus. In 2007 Sarah played on Lance Larson's record "Song for the Soldier" (playing on a track featuring infamous Jon Bon Jovi). 2009 is shaping out to be an exciting year for her with the newly released material from Jerzy Jung, to her band, Cavalier Rose who are currently recording for their long anticipated release, comming this spring.In earning respect as a hard-working musician, she has relentlessly gigged, recorded, and laid down the backbone for talents around the NJ-NY area.
