Hoodography

Hoodography (from “hood”, a slang term used to describe inner city communities, and “ography” from the Greek verb graphein “to write”) is the literal and visual examination of inner city culture. It is an attempt to redefine the one-dimensional viewpoint of “the hood”. It is a closer look into the inner workings of the inner city. It is a step towards truly understanding, and appreciating the places that millions of people call home.
