Welcome to the myspace page for The Historic State Theater.This building was opened for the first time in 1946, and is located on Main St. in Point Pleasant, W.V.. It had been closed for unknown years, until Sept.15th of 2006! Tom King grew up in this town, and the theater always meant something to him. When he would come to town to visit family, he would see the building closed down, year after year. He opened the theater back up with some help,his daughter Alia and her husband Shannon Meade, decided to run the theater for Tom. We now have different entertainment each week, every week. We also rent the theater to individuals, for weddings, private party's, and much much more. Please look over our page for more information. We need your help, to save the theater. We are in the process of filing for a grant, to help with repairs, and other needs to stay open. We have been paying for everything to keep the historic landmar...
