About Me

"What can I say about the lovely Lily Taylor? We had no idea she was a smoky, noir heroine, straight out of a back room jazz hall with dirty floors and a secret password to get in. Lily's lucent blue vocals have a subtle fierceness that buoys every note and leaves you staring at the sky, wondering why it stays up there when it could come down and listen. This girl can break my heart anytime." -The Process.
"Lily Taylor... has a jaw-dropping beautiful voice which she uses to fan the embers of slow ballads." -David Kaye of the Music Box Series in San Francisco.
From Boston to Dallas to Santa Fe to San Francisco, Lily Taylor captures the attention of audiences of all kinds. She attended College of Santa Fe, and obtained a BA in Contemporary Music with a focus in vocal studies. Taylor now teaches voice lessons, performs, composes, and collaborates. She brings a fresh sound and perspective to her new hometown of San Francisco. Her most recent material explores the dream world, and universal experiences that make up the collective consciousness. Her solo performances are a must see.
'Dead Elephants', features Stephen Canny -cello, Sean Miller - guitar. 'Swing', recorded by Sean Miller (will be on the up coming album). 'Chant in 5', 'Giant Seals', and 'Miss It' were recorded by Lily Taylor. Photos by Joe Picard and Matthew Pistone. Collages by Emily Marchick.
