Mike Shattuck Band

In 1999 Mike Shattuck and his son Kyle Shattuck formed "Sandy's Sawtooth" to showcase Mike Shattuck's original music. The band consisted of Mark Marquis / Lead Guitar, Greg Secino / Drums, Kyle Shattuck / Bass and Mike Shattuck / Lead Vocals, Acoustic & Electric guitar and Saxophone. They recorded the album "Just A Fantasy" in 2000. The band went through a lineup change in 2001 when Ed Kelly took over on drums and Marybeth Crawford & Fagan Franz were added on backup vocals. That lineup recorded the album "Life" in 2002.NOW, "The Mike Shattuck Band" picks up where "Sandy's Sawtooth" left off while adding some great cover songs to their repertoire. This time around Mike has called on his other son Seth Shattuck to take on the role of lead guitar. With Brian Johnson on Bass and E.J. As a musician growing up in Massachusetts, Shattuck was influenced by a wide range of artists from the Beatles, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Steely Dan, Johnathan Edwards, and Taj Mahal. As a performer Shattuck first cut his teeth as a teenager in a garage band before graduating to life on the road-touring the U.S. and Canada with the bands New England, and Adrial. Those experiences honed Shattuck's natural ability to connect to an audience with a style that's honest and relaxed, whether performing his own material or playing an occasional cover tune. As a songwriter, Shattuck draws personal inspiration from his own life's unique experiences, as well as reflects on the "bigger picture"; the universal connections we all share. His debut CD; "Just A Fantasy" was released in 2000. In late 2002 Shattuck followed it up with his second CD; "Life", a collection of original and imaginative songs that showcase his views on Love and loss, destiny and acceptance.
