Give em what you got, go give em all your action baby! Born in Dnepropetrovsk/Ukraine, young Eugene’s “affair” with music began quite early with piano lessons. How it may sounds strange –yet true, Eugene’s interest in music has grown fast enough to lead him to different paths. This time lessons had to do with Jazz and music improvisation. No more to say! Eugene has found the “love” of his life! Composing music is only one aspect of the business and Eugene is aware of that, so in 1996 he attends Studio “Out” in Kiev, where he learns the secrets in sound engineering, mastering and production. That’s it! Eugene has now all what he needs to step forward in the industry of club music! 2 years have gone since then and Eugene realizes that Ukraine for the moment has not much to give him in club culture and new tendencies in music so the artist takes one more vital decision. Next stop - Germany. Frankfurt 1998: Eugene at first equips himself with a sound mixer and 2 turntables; soon later his first studio is already a reality. Small but effective his studio is equipped with all the necessary “gadgets” to create and produce music sounds. Of course the young DJ equally spends as much time in his studio as well in clubs where he attends numerous shows, DJ-gigs and in general he gets deep into the country’s club-culture. Every artists influences and gets influenced and that is exactly what happens with Eugene. Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Propeller Heads, Crystal Method, Dieselboy and others where the ones that affected Eugene’s musical taste and where present in his gigs. The young artist found his way! It was bound to be break-beats and Drum & Bass. Still artists like Kraftwerk, Aphex Twin, Radiohead, Underworld, Depeche mode and fischerspooner are producing interesting sounds and Eugene’s ear gets a lot of “food” for his future compositions. Being a DJ is just the “first half time” of a match so soon enough Eugene proceeds into “the second half”. Making music: Eugene began composing music and at the same time he was “testing” it in the dance floors of the clubs he was performing. This experiment proved to be successful as his gigs where always “a different touch”, so naturally in 2004, the young artist was invited to perform in Frankfurt’s festival “The sound of Frankfurt”, where his performance gets a place among the 5 best performances of the festival. Even more his remix in Adams’ Freeland –We want your Soul- (Fomenko Remix) began transmitting in Germany’s dance radio stations. 2005, his “adventures” in Germany are over and the artist founds himself ready to return to motherland to continue where he was left 7 years ago. Eugene’s full-equipped studio was born in the Capital Kiev and he begins a crazy journey across the country. Faithful to “Black Beauty” Eugene denies the technological progress of compact discs and mp3’s. Vinyl has always produced better sounds, and a good DJ compilation can do wonders in the dance floor. Especially when it is accompanied by effect machines and synthesizers masterly operated by Eugene! Present time and Eugene has earned the title of a very popular DJ, but the young man always wants to be a step ahead of masses. A live performance group under the title “Majestica” is already a reality and the future promises to be brighten than ever!
