Hello, my name is IDIOCRACY. I am the latest film from Mike Judge, creator of OFFICE SPACE, BEAVIS & BUTTHEAD and KING OF THE HILL. I am the funniest, wittiest satire in recent memory. I have been unceremoniously dumped by the idiotic fuckwads running 20th Century Fox (THAT MEANS YOU, TOM ROTHMAN), opening in a few towns without any advertising whatsoever (L.A., Toronto, Chicago, Austin, Houston) before being consigned to the video bins. Cowards that they are, the suits wouldn't screen me for critics, even though I got raves opening day in VARIETY and the LA TIMES. As far as my studio is concerned, I am a pariah. I mean, it's so bad that even MovieFone didn't know I existed. If you wanted to find my showtimes, you had to type in the first three letters of "Untitled Mike Judge Movie". Seriously. Obviously, the studio wanted to create a self-fulfilling prophecy of failure; when no one came to see me in my test market showings (which is what happens when NO ONE EVEN KNOWS YOU FUCKING EXIST), then they could point to me and say "see, it didn't make any money, our bad faith was justified." I just want to be seen and loved. Not everyone is clueless: I've already started showing on the midnight circuit in L.A. If you have half a brain, a sense of humor, or if you liked OFFICE SPACE, you'll love me. Really. You'll rent me or buy me. Shit, maybe you'll even download me for free from a bit torrent site.
