Have a wonderful Wednesday!

About Me

Well, Me and Vinton met in like 7th grade in art class and discovered that we both play guitar. we weren't very good at the time so we kind of learned together. We started actually writing music shortly after we started high school."Power Chord" was the first step on a musical journey that has taken us to some weird songs and some good songs. I layed down the rythm and lead for the main part and Vinton jazzed it up with his insane ability to write solos from nothing. We felt the need to write another song shortly after that. So one day in the "studio" (computer room) I had the sudden urge to write a folk song...which was weird because we had decided to do rock and roll. But go figure, I told Vinton to come up with a little country style intro and BAM! "The Ballad Of Jeffery The Fish" had come to be. It was actually all done on improv."Sharp Death" was a random work of genius, I think. Neither one of us like the style it is written in, but the song is very fun to play. We were in the living room and I had decided it was my turn to randomly write a riff...and who would have thought, I did. As soon as I started playing it, vinton Came in with a lead part and we had the basis for a song. We only needed words. We headed to the "studio" and started to think of different things we could do for it. Ideas were thrown in and out by the number...then I thought...we could make it a screamo song...Vinton instantly agreed. We opened up a word processor and started typing all the phrases we could think of that would possibly be in a song like that...and some that we didn't think would be in one. In about 5 minutes, We had "Sharp Death".Immediately after we had recorded "Sharp Death" (like 30 seconds), we decided to move on and try to cover all the genres...Next was blues...I popped off with the only blues riff I could think of and Vinton shot out "I live in Mississippi...". It took about 3 minutes for him to fill the rest of the song with words. Then about 3 more for the music. We Called it "Generic Blues Man". After it was done, we leaned back and listened to our songs we had so far. It was incredible...we had done 2 whole songs in a few short minutes...We felt great.Track 5 is a bonus track called "Generic Retard Man". Vinton just blurted out the first 2 lines of the song like a retard and we did it. It's on there mainly for humor...it's actually not good at all...but it is HILARIOUS!Now that that stage is over, we're actually going to start focusing on "real" music. We had some good times with Overtime, but we need to get a little more serious. You won't find any of our old songs on here now. Sorry. If you want a copy of Overtime, you can contact either of us. The CD is $2.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
