I am here for Friends

About Me

Musician, student of life, knowledge junkie, husband, proud father to the most beautiful little girl in the world, cynic, occasional goofball!
I am also an advocate of skeptical thinking to the point that it absolutely defines my personality and philosophy in life - question everything.
I am also a science buff, with just enough interest in fields such as astrophysics and quantum mechanics to keep my brain immersed in some diaphanous state between wonder and confusion.
Here's some of my music:
^ My women.
Now a few wise words.
"Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge: it is those who know little, not those who know much, who so positively assert that this or that problem will never be solved by science."
~Charles Darwin
"For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring."
~Carl Sagan
"If there were in the world today any large number of people who desired their own happiness more than they desired the unhappiness of others, we could have paradise in a few years."
~Bertrand Russell
Atheist: n A person to be pitied in that he is unable to believe things for which there is no evidence, and who has thus deprived himself of a convenient means of feeling superior to others.
"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?"
~Douglas Adams
"In religion and politics people's beliefs and convictions are in almost every case gotten at second-hand, and without examination, from authorities who have not themselves examined the questions at issue but have taken them at second-hand from other non-examiners, whose opinions about them were not worth a brass farthing."
~Mark Twain
"At times one remains faithful to a cause only because its opponents do not cease to be insipid."
"Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule."
"The visionary lies to himself, the liar only to others."
"What else is love but understanding and rejoicing in the fact that another person lives, acts, and experiences otherwise than we do…?"
"The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently."
"There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness."
"What is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil."
"Digressions, objections, delight in mockery, carefree mistrust are signs of health; everything unconditional belongs in pathology."
"In Christianity neither morality nor religion come into contact with reality at any point."
"The Christian resolution to find the world ugly and bad has made the world ugly and bad."
"The most perfidious way of harming a cause consists of defending it deliberately with faulty arguments."
"A thinker sees his own actions as experiments and questions--as attempts to find out something. Success and failure are for him answers above all."
"Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he doesn't become a monster. And when you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks also into you."
~Friedrich Nietzsche

Albums that changed my life

Goodbye to a friend....
