Indie-Rock band Alexis Blue formed in September 2005 on the calmer side of the River Mersey. Since then, constant gigs, UK tours, EP & single releases have increased not only their fan base, but also their desire to progress further with their music, style and live performances - Their fresh, unique take on the Indie-Pop sound which blends catchy melody with dark, comedic and often ironic lyrics, catching many an interested ear both country & worldwide.
Support slots alongside bands such as -
The Wombats, Milburn, Little Man Tate, The Kooks, Bromheads Jacket, Reverend & The Makers, 80s Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Metro Riots, Luke Toms, 747's, Parka and Cazals - Aswell as Club NME Headline slots, National radio play and National/International magazine features have raised their profile even more.
2007 saw the band start with a new bassist and reach the finals of 02 Unsigned. Later in the year, their self released debut single 'You Wont Get Much Sleep' sold out immediately (both in the UK and Japan) and was backed up by a music video which broadcast on major music TV stations including MTV2, Q and Virgin Media, the video was also shown on Liverpool City Centre BBC Big Screen. The single was named 'Record Of The Week' on many UK radio stations and championed by Manx Radio & BBC Radio Merseyside. In November the band played their largest hometown headline show to date when they sold out the 600 capacity Liverpool Barfly, a gig that was HD filmed for future public release.
2008 has already had the band kick off the year by performing an acoustic set and interview on BBC Radio and undertake a UK wide tour in February. From March, the video to single YWGMS has received further showing both on MTV2 and Virgin Media. With further tours, releases and huge plans for the rest of the year, things are looking bright for Alexis Blue.

"Alexis Blue are a four-piece from Wallasey in the North West of England, who offer great pieces of Indie-Pop gem. Truly inspired by their folks of Merseyside (The Zutons, The Coral and Co.) on some tracks, especially Swings and Roundabouts & You Won't Get Much Sleep with their Indie-Pop melody that will have you hooked. From song to song, listening to Alexis Blue is a breath of fresh air coming from across the Mersey. Definitely a band to check out." - Melanie Lapierre, This Is Fake DIY/CISM 893 Radio, Canada

Sounds Like: Indie/Pop/Alt

A bouncy, catchy, refreshing change from most popular indie bands around - while still retaining the radio-friendly listenability.

Bright, unique and creative music with dark lyrical undertones.
