Dj Cutz has been involved with music for as long as he can remember, producing house and garage, 2 step, RnB and Hip Hop. His first instrument when he was an eager 6 year old was a drum kit. He then learnt to play the piano and guitar by just watching others while in secondary school.
He began learning to DJ in 1995 / 1996 mixing Jungle and breakbeat on a pair of dodgy belt drive Soundlabs in the studios of EC1. Then around 1997 he moved on to Garage and 2 step and started to get noticed on Pirate radio, playing on such stations as Mystic Fm, Heat Fm, Touch FM etc. Around 98 / 99 he also began playing in various clubs in and around London gathering a name for himself. For around 5 years he has played out alongside friends MC Kriss Dee and just recently DJ Breezer, From the infamous Cutz N' Breezer Era.
On top of mixing he began getting involved into scratching, beat mixing and juggling using instrumentals and samples, so that his skills as a DJ would be complete.
Then around 1999 he began producing using loops and samples, nothing special mind you as he didnt have any proper recording equipment.
As the years rolled by he continued to DJ and work part time to save up enough money to buy a computer and keyboard to start with. When he finally started producing his own 2 step garage remixes his talent started to shine through. Since then the catalogue of tracks gets bigger by the day. Not only is he making the odd garage or house remix these days he is also writing alot of his own material. On top of being a DJ / Producer he is also a keen MC...

...Upon writing alot of material, whether its Pop, Hip Hop or RnB, WORKRECANDPLAY was created as a universal umbrella that all of his music would fall under. These days Dj Cutz is writing alot, putting finshing touches to upcoming tracks and generally experimenting with different styles of music that you will hear very soon.
