DAILY DEVO: The Attitude of Gratitude (TAG)Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus ChristTHE PEACE IN THE MIDST OF A STORMWe’ve had lots of rain for the past couple of days. Oddly enough, the sun was shinning one moment and then it would get darker, and darker and the rain would come down in sheets. And then, it would stop and the sun would come out again. For some, the rain is a hindrance to their agendas, their goals for the day. For others, the rain is a welcomed blessing because they know that without rain, noting can grow. It’s hard to focus in the rain, and even harder in a storm. Finding your focus can be difficult when you are experiencing the storms life. One moment, things can be going well and the next all hell seems to break loose. I have found that in the midst of it all…even when I am surrounded by the storm of stress…God still speaks. And sometimes He uses particular people or certain situations to get my attention when I am not listening. So, when you’re frazzled, frustrated, frantic and freaked out…remember to meditate on moments of pleasure and just have fun and enjoy being a follower of Christ. Remove your umbrella of unbridled stress and “Sing in the Rain”. God has a purpose for our pain. Don’t be afraid to get wet because our season in the sun prepares us for renewal in the rain.My praise report is…. God has given me His Peace and His Presence. He’s reminded me that it may not be well with my circumstances, but it can be and IS well with my soul.Shhhh…be quiet in your spirit and listen. With every drop He’s speaking to you in the storm. Can you hear Him? He’s saying, “walk this way, turn left, turn right”…Psalm 131:1-3 My heart is not proud, O LORD, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. But I have stilled and quieted my soul;Isaiah 30:21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.Lord, as your children cry out to You in their time of trouble, I pray that You will bring them out of their distresses. Still the storm of people’s harsh words against them to a whisper and hush the waves of circumstances that are trying to overtake them. They will be glad when it grows calm but give them peace in the midst of their storm, Lord. Give them solace in knowing that You are guiding them to their designed destiny and a place of rest in You.*For the storms Lord, we give you praise! *For your peace Lord, we give you praise! *For the spiritual growing pains Lord, we give you praise!I pray these things as we continue to have The Attitude of Gratitude even in the midst of our storms. In Jesus’ name, Amen.(Psalm 107:28-30; Jer 29:11; Romans 8:28)Remember, God wants you to have The Attitude of Gratitude. So TAG someone today.TAG, You’re It!!!
