Claes Nordwall grew up moving back and forth to Australia with his family and has under his modestly stated; untame upbringing formed himself into a heartfelt musician with no other requests than to make music every day, all day, every night, all night. The moving stopped, but not Claes. Aside writing songs he loves the cold swedish winters and has lived on different mountains in Sweden, letting the atmosphere blend into his songs about girls, the lesson of life and brotherhood.
Under his upbringing he played allot of punkrock, and alternative rock and never really getting two write his romantic roadside songs up until 2-3 years ago when the creativity was put into what was truly him... In the summer of 2007 the EP Scrapbook Serenades was released independently and featured 4 tracks. The past year was spent in soundengineering college at a swedish musicinstitution called Ingesund where he put together his brand new band baptised: SASQUATCH based on childhood memories. The new core that it gave the music has been compared to "Jeff buckley", "Roy Orbison", "Ryan Adams" and also Jazzgroups like "The Cinematic Orchestra".
In May 2008, the group signed with the new swedish Indielabel Backwood music. On the 16th of January 09, the debut "Claes Cleeve & Sasquatch" was released locally at the nightclub Nöjesfabriken in Karlstad. On Feb 04 the album will be available internationally.
