About Me

Myspace Layouts Kick was conceived as little more than an excuse to have fun making music, hang out at the clubs we’d just be hanging out at anyway, and potentially leave with more money than we went in with. From such humble beginnings in 1996, we somehow went on to play to hundreds of thousands of wildly appreciative rock and roll fans at virtually every major venue in the Northeast. Against all odds or logic, people started saying we were "easily the top show band in New England...live, they actually look, perform, and sound better than a lot of the original artists" (Music News Express) and "the most professional modern rock cover band I’ve ever seen. Masterful." (Hartford Advocate). We thought that was really nice of them. In national auditions, MTV said we were "Perfect" and VH1 concurred we are "an outstanding band." Regional editions of Life magazine called us "Awesome," and we amassed 11 consecutive nominations and multiple victories as Best Cover Band and Readers Choice in the Grand Band Slam Poll Awards and Snow Slam competitions. I mean that’s just wrong. But it enabled us to play venues from the ski mountains of Vermont to the beach resorts of Newport, the Jersey Shore, Block Island, and Cape Cod; from college festivals to corporate events, amusement parks, and weddings; from the streets of New York to Boston’s Faneuil Hall and several major amphitheaters. Our booking edict remains: "Provide the musical entertainment of the highest-attainable quality, wherever there’s a good time to be had and great people to rock." The diversity of our repertoire has enabled us to perform at such prestigious venues as Gillette Stadium, Toads Place, the Pickle Barrel Music Hall, Yale Bowl, Riverfront Amphitheater, Lowe Auditorium, and UConn’s Rentschler Stadium, where we perform before every Huskies football game. From Neil Diamond to Metallica, we guarantee you’ll go home having heard at least one song they like. This year, we’re commemorating our 10th anniversary (we started the band when we were 9) with a tour sponsored by Coors Light, Hype Energy Drink, UConn Huskies football, Connecticut Lottery, and 96.5-TIC FM. For showdates and other up-to-the-minute information about the band, visit the website kickband.com frequently. And thanks for reading so far into this self-serving, shameless drivel.Speaking of bookings, to set something up or to learn more, call Brian at 860-670-5410.
