About Me
Formed in 2003, the band Deception was created by guitarist Chris Chang and vocalist Luis Dario. Despite being a great distance from each other, they began jamming, and in a short time the first few batch of songs were ready to go.During that time Deception has played shows with bands like Carcass, Deicide, The Faceless, Krisiun, Destruction, Decrepit Birth, Order Of Ennead, Vital Remains, Suffocation, Repulsion, Adrift, Sentinel, Exodus, Gravehill, New Eden, Resistance, Dreams of Damnation, Scarred, Black Chapel, Prototype, and opened for some big acts like Primal Fear, Belladonna, Neil Turbin, Vehemence, King's X, Overkill, Stratovarius, Testament, Into Eternity, Sonata Artica, Gamma Ray, Dragonlord, Therion, Epica, and Kamelot.After some lineup changes, including the departure of Luis Dario, Deception began a new year with the addition of Chris Kelly on vocals, Dustin Sato-Smith on drums, Ryan Colgan on rhythm guitars, and Will Buckley on bass. Deception is prepared now to rise and conquer all!
