About Me
Well, I'm not really a "profound" type of guy. I'm pretty simple really... well, at least that's what I hear, and I guess I can't really argue it. I love life, even when it sucks. I love my God. I love my wife, more than my life. I love music, I think it truly can get into your soul. I'm definitely a "work in progress". I like that progress is difficult, it makes getting it right much more rewarding. I am a very emotional person although I don't always show it. Most say I'm pretty calm. I'm really getting into photography. I'm not real good at it right now, but it'll get there. I'm pretty persistent when I want to be. I like to talk, but not in the morning. I like to walk, but not fast. Why stand when you can sit? Why sit when you can lay down? (Whoever came up with that, brilliant). I try to be an open minded person. My wife helps me out a lot with that, she's probably the most kind person I know. I have a lot of friends, at least I think I do, and those whom are closest to me know I am a very loyal friend. I'm very excited to have my own family some day. I'd like to think that I'll be good father, because I refuse to simply be a DAD. My grandparents are beautiful people, they helped me make it through some very rough years. I love them more than they could ever know. They also were the ones that really introduced me to God as a kid. I definitely didn't follow that path for most of my life, but I'm certainly glad I'm trying to walk it again. I like my job. It's not my dream job, but it's pretty interesting and it keeps the lights on. **(UPDATE: Got a new job, it's going great, I like it alot!!)** I wish I was more of a "handy man" sometimes, especially now that I own a home. It's kind of an older home, and when things happen I definitely feel pretty inadequate. But hey, I don't expect electricians to write songs either, so I guess it all works out. I've wasted several hours, probably years in total, watching the Detroit freakin Lions. They really kill me. I just can't stop though. I'm pretty sure maui is the most beautiful place on earth. I hope to make it back there someday. Jen and I are going on our first cruise in February. I'm really looking forward to that, although, gotta admit I'm a bit concerned about getting sea sick. Keep your fingers crossed for me if you don't mind. **(UPDATE: The cruise was awesome! Sea sickness wasn't much of an issue... a bit "eh" feeling at moments, but nothing bad. Food was good. It was a great time overall!!)**I don't like political conversations, people always end up getting pissed off. I do think everyone should vote. Many people have died to give us all that privelege, we should be grateful and exercise that freedom every time we have the opportunity. Tempurpedic beds are TERRIBLE. Don't get one. No matter how great they feel when you lay on them at the store, don't do it. We lasted 3 weeks, and it had to go. I'm just glad Art Van took it back! Whew. Speaking of beds, I definitely don't get enough sleep, that's for sure. I always feel like I'm going to miss out on something if I go to bed early. I have a pretty busy schedule, but nothing compared to my wife. I don't know how she does it... working full time and getting her masters degree, plus making sure I'm not screwing something up. That's some major commitment right there. I love that woman. I lead worship at my church. It's called 2/42 Community Church. It's pretty cool, come check it out sometime if you're in the Brighton area. Well, that's about it. Not really, but I doubt many people actually made it this far.
