About Me

I'm originally from Rutherfordton, North Carolina. After meeting my husband, who was attending Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina, we moved to his home state of Washington and have been here for 13 years. I miss the Carolina's so much and look forward to each trip back to visit family and friends. Our plans are to one day move back to South Carolina. I'm a stay-at-home Mom, which on some days can wear me down to a bloody nub and other days can be extremely rewarding. I volunteer at my kids school several days a week and shuffle kids to and from different sporting events.I'm sitting here thinking about what I enjoy and it's scary because I just realized that I'm not quite sure what that is, due to the fact that the kids take so much of my time. I do go to the gym 4 to 5 days a week and do weight training and cardio. I have also been blessed with awesome friends on both sides of the country. The main reason I'm on MySpace is because my cousin told me to and to hopefully reconnect with friends I've lost touch with. Oh! and did I mention that I LOVE Nascar and will be an Earnhardt fan until the day I die? I also love the Carolina coast...the South Myrtle Beach area especially. I love the beach, the ocean, the smell of salt water and palmetto's. I could be a beach bum for the rest of my life! When I make it back to the Carolina's for good, I'm gonna nail my feet to the ground!ALWAYS....IN MY MIND I'M GOING TO CAROLINA. CAN'T YOU SEE THE SUNSHINE, CAN'T YOU JUST FEEL THE MOONSHINE? AIN'T IT JUST LIKE A FRIEND OF MINE TO HIT FROM BEHIND? YES, I'M GOING TO CAROLINA IN MY MIND.

I like and appreciate all types of music. Favorites are Sheryl Crow, Dixie Chicks, John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Audioslave), Jane's Addiction, Rage Against the Machine and Tool. I also love good ol' Southern Rock and anything that makes me want to dance.

Movies:

Favorite movies are Steel Magnolias, Napolean Dynamite, Almost Famous, Talladega Nights..Ricky Bobby rocks!, How The Grinch Stole Christmas w/Jim Carey and Borat

Television:

I keep up with Desperate Housewives, Big Love, CSI-Las Vegas, Weeds, Work Out, Real Housewives of Orange County and New York, Entourage, American Idol, Gene Simmons Family Jewels and 24. I really miss Sopranos!!!!!

I enjoy books by Dorothea Benton Frank and anything about healthy lifestyle choices. I also like Dr. Seuss, Maurice Sendak (Where the Wild Things Are) and Ian Falconer (Olivia books).

Heroes:

My chiropractor...chiropractic is a lifestyle choice! My nutritionist! She has totally helped me change my diet. Yes, sugar is evil...bad, bad, bad! My personal trainer totally rocks...love her! Oprah, Bono, Dixie Chicks...for speaking their mind and using our freedom of speech (the Chicks were right)! Jon Stewart and Bill Maher for their genious shows! Kudos to Keith Olberman too!
